The Dahls

Hello! We are the Dahls, a family of four plus two furry dogs, traveling full time around the USA in our 36ft Keystone Cougar Half-Ton fifth wheel RV.

With two toddlers, we are able to explore while the kids are still young giving us total freedom. A is a strong headed four year old and W is a wild two year old and on the run. They keep mom occupied while dad works full time from the bedroom/office. 

We are aiming to be eco-friendly in our daily life and are currently exploring minimalism. We are vegetarian leaning towards vegan and enjoy making most things from scratch. 

The Parents

Mia

Toddler wrangler and non-recipe following mom extraordinaire. The most common question I get asked about this lifestyle is “what do you do all day with the kids?” Walk, run, chase, dance, color, feed, sleep, repeat. Ever day is a new adventure filled with toddler giggles and lots of love. 

John

Full time web developer, dad, and fitness fanatic. He enjoys long runs on the beach and eating kale salads. He works hard so the family can play hard. He loves exploring the simplicity of minimalism and owns one pair of shoes (not joking).

The Toddlers

A

Is a strong headed four year old on the go. She enjoys leading the pack into the adventures of this lifestyle. She takes her big sister duties very seriously and loves making new friends, young and old. She refuses to nap and likes asking why. 

W

Is a little guy on the move coming in at just two years old. He loves climbing, dancing, waving, and pushing sisters buttons. He is a born adventurer and explorer. 

The Dogs

Otis, 13, and Elly, 6, our furry dog companions. Elly enjoys joining John on his jogs and Otis like leisurely strolling with the kids. They both enjoy long naps and snuggling up together (most the time). Both don’t act their ages and although they enjoy the company of new human friends, can be selective on the dogs they will hang around with. These beasts take their guardians of the rig responsibilities very seriously. Sadly we lost Otis on September 11th, 2021 to cancer.

The Ride

Ruth the Dually our trusted steed. Without Ruth we’d be nowhere, literally. She is able to tow us where we want to go and also take us to the grocery store. She is magnificent and strong. 

The Rig

Courtney the Cougar a 2021 Keystone 32BHS Cougar Half-Ton our home on wheels. This bunkhouse RV fifth wheel gives us plenty of room to stretch out with two bedrooms, one and a half bathrooms (including a tub!), and plenty of storage space.
